Connor J. Traut
Connor J. Traut is a trial attorney, specializing in personal injury matters, with his first jury trial having resulted in a seven-figure verdict.
He was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2023 and 2024, reserved for no more than 2.5% of California attorneys.
Connor earned his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law, where he received the Cali Award for being the top student in Dispute Resolution and completed multiple semesters volunteering in mediation and restorative justice clinics.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Connor completed a clerkship for a judge at the Orange County Superior Court, worked as a legal assistant at Traut Firm, and served as a judge-appointed Orange County Juvenile Justice Commissioner.
Connor is a Trial College Fellow from the ABOTA National Trial College at Yale Law School. He is a member of the OC Trial Lawyers Association, OC Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys Association of LA, and Consumer Attorneys of California.
Much of what drives Connor, in both the law and life, is helping people. As a young person, he founded a civic youth commission and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Connor went on to become his city’s youngest ever school board president and mayor.
He currently serves his community as a city council member, where he was elected by the largest margin of victory in his city’s history. Connor also volunteers as vice chair of his local Boys & Girls Club and is a board member for the Orange County Fire Authority.
Connor and his wife Cheyenne, who is a teacher, are parents to their son Calum and their two goldendoodles, Nova and Whitney. Together, they enjoy watching baseball and hockey games, venturing on long hikes, and weekend road trips to the Colorado River.
